It’s always the goal to sell your home fast, and not just fast, but as soon as possible! I’ve put together five ways to do this. If you follow these few tips, you’ll sell your home in no time!
Price it right. Pricing your home too high will scare off potential buyers before you can even say “listed.” You want to make sure your home is priced right. Pick a competitive price (you still want to be fair to you), but make sure that your home is really worth what you say it is. According to Michael Mahon, the general manager of HER Realtors in Columbus, Ohio, “The first 30 days’ activity of your house being on the market is always the best activity you’re going to see.” To read more on this topic click here. Along with a good price, be willing to negotiate or leave something good behind. Leaving those stainless steel appliances may persuade the buyer to offer top-dollar! First impression. Curb appeal really does make a difference (click here to see my blog on getting that curb appeal). If you want to sell your home fast, make sure the inside and outside of your home are looking amazing! To really make your home stand out, make sure to declutter and depersonalize. You want buyers to be able to picture themselves living in your home. If you have all your family photos and religious decorations on the walls, they may have a difficult time doing so. (Click here to read my blog on decluttering and organizing your home.)

Stage your home. Give each room a role and stage it that way. You don’t want a room that fills in as an office, playroom, exercise room and guest room. Set up each room so that buyers can tell exactly what its purpose is. Make it look clean and open!
Be flexible with touring schedules. Want to sell your home fast? Be willing to let people come whenever! If it’s difficult for them to schedule a time to come see your home, they’ll get frustrated and won’t want to come at all. You also want to be sure that your home is ready for tours at all times. Buyers do understand that you are living in your home, so it may not be pristine during a last-minute tour, but make sure it’s clean and organized. Try and avoid huge projects or prolonged messes.
